The band doesn't close. Instead each end finishes in a heart, and the two face one another across a sliver of open space — close, but not quite touching. One heart is outlined in gold and filled with tiny pavé-set stones that catch the light; the other is smooth polished gold, mirror-bright and quietly solid.
